Title:  Senior Accountant

Reports to:  Accounting Manager

Supervises:  N/A

Summary of Responsibilities:

Performs the day-to-day accounting functions for multiple trust entities managed by the Trust Department; records transactions within established systems and procedures; prepares financial reports and forecasts; keeps statistical and financial records.

Essential Functions:

Verifies and enters details of transactions as they occur.

Prepares monthly financial statements accurately and timely.

Prepares appropriate schedules and reports as requested.

Handles daily accounting functions, including recording of notices and disbursements.

Prepares bank reconciliations.

May prepare or review monthly statements to clients.

Assists in preparation of budgets and cash forecasts.

Coordinates retention of accounting and legal records.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

College coursework in Accounting

Minimum of 4 years of responsible accounting or bookkeeping experience related to a computerized accounting system.

Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism.

Ability to operate a calculator, computer, and other general office equipment.

Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing in English.

Works with confidential client data, requires ability to keep matters confidential.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

CPA license

Prior experience working in a CPA firm

Experience with Quickbooks or Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision)
