Responsible for the day to day operations of the three clinic sites with a staff of approximately 45 people including three nurse practitioners, five Licensed Vocational Nurses and twenty Medical Assistants, as well as the medical records, front desk, and eligibility staff.  Operations include 10,000 primary care and HIV specialty care, 8,000 sexually transmitted 1,000 family planning, and 3,000 urgent care visits per year. Other responsibilities include: Quality Assurance Committee Chair, Inter-disciplinary (IDT) Committee Chair, Heath Information Portability Protection Act Officer, policy and protocol development, systems evaluation lab staffing, referral coordination, development of standardized forms, staff development and training, assistance in the conversion of the patient management system, as well as all aspects of federal, state, local and agency reporting

10/2000-09/2005 - Wellness Director
Responsible for all aspects of care for 90 residents, with a capacity to serve up to 110 residents, with a nursing staff of three Licensed Vocational Nurses, five Certified Medication Aides and 15 Certified Nurses Aides.  Responsibilities included all initial new resident assessments and development and coordination of their Plan of Care, all aspects of Quality Improvement and ongoing resident monitoring to ensure that all needs are being addressed and that necessary services are being provided.  Served as liaison between residents, staff, families and contracted services to ensure all aspects of care. Additional responsibilities included: development and implementation of yearly schedules for in-services; care log development/procedures; building oversight of ongoing assisted living education; and development of a new set of Wellness Policies.  Served also as an integrated participant in marketing efforts to gain additional residents.  During this period, center was subject to three Texas Department of Health Services audits, the last two resulting in no deficiencies.
