• Led audit team in discovering a $300K fraud in a textile manufacturing company in Nigeria.
• Increased the government revenue realized from import duties by 150% over the previous year in 1996 as a result of the team audit.
• Reconciled the accounts of designated banks for collecting import duties with the accounts of Central Bank of Nigeria reduced the fraudulent practices which existed in the banks and increased the revenue in 1996.
• Evaluated and tested various clients’ internal accounting processes including journal entries, ledger entries, trial balance, profit and loss accounts and Balance sheet, for accuracy, transparency and consistency by the audit team led to an award of recognition given by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria to the company.
