The Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner functions as a health care provider for employees of the Hospital and employees of contracted clients with work-related injuries. Nurse Practitioner’s main focus will be in emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention to keep the working population healthy by performing or reviewing health screenings, health surveillance, and pre-placement and periodic physical examinations. Provides travel consultation, immunization, and prophylaxis medications for the general public traveling outside of US to prevent illness and injury related to foreign travel.
This position will serve as a consultant to the Occupational Health Nurse, Infection Control, and internal and external entities as appropriate. Will also serve as an educator and mentor for the interdisciplinary team as appropriate.
Requirements:
Graduate from an accredited NP program or certification from a nationally recognized organization. Colorado or compact state license preferred however relocation will be provided! Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as a Practitioner in either a Family Practice, Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, or Occupational Health environment.
